The Veterans' Memorial, located on 310 E. 14th Street, was dedicated on December 17, 2011.  It contains 5,400 brick pavers, which are engraved with the names of Veterans both deceased and living.

The monument features the five branches of service, as well as the U.S. and POW-MIA flags. It is the hope of The City of Huntingburg and countless volunteers...

  • That the monument may offer peace and comfort to the service men and women of Dubois County.
  • Serve as a place of respect and reflection for the families of our soldiers and POWS.
  • Most importantly, serve as a constant reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedoms.

The back of the monument features a quote from
President Franklin D. Roosevelt:

"In honor of those who served our country, during times of peace and war, those who gave the supreme sacrifice, those still missing and those who came home both whole and broken."

Honor a soldier in your life!
