Walnut Street

  • JH Rudolph will be patching Walnut Street between 2nd and 3rd Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 through Thursday, June 26. During this time, there will be no street parking allowed, and residents are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the roadway.

    • Improvements have begun on 2nd Street between Jackson Street and Van Buren Street, and the road is closed for construction as part of the Community Crossing Matching Grant Program. Weather permitting, the project is expected to take approximately six weeks. We will provide an update once the street is fully reopened, and construction is complete.

We ask residents to drive slowly in the treated areas for several days to reduce the likelihood of material residue on vehicles. If residue does appear, it should be cleaned promptly using soap and water, or a mild solvent such as Bug and Tar Remover or WD-40. Residue on driveways can be rinsed with water or left to wear off naturally over two to six weeks. We appreciate the community’s cooperation and understanding during this important maintenance process.
